Why is it helpful to have a surveyor?
Every buyer surveys fruits upon arrival. But it's not enough to rely on buyer's survey because he has his own interest. He will look at fruit for his advantage. He will search for defects, point out all the drawbacks he notices, and use that to raise the claim against the supplier to pay less. Sometimes this can be fair, but sometimes it can be abusive. So to avoid this situation, it's better to have your own surveyor that will represent your interest and attend the opening of the container of the truck to look at the quality of the fruit together with the buyer to make a joint statement, specifying what is the quality, deffects, and estimating losses that may arise from quality issues.
